Course Description

Provides hands on training with edit sets, view sets, creating complex call groups, and working with contacts. This workshop covers subjects in much greater detail than time normally allows in the standard class as well as lab work. The student may bring a HAF file of their database to the class. This allows the student to implement newly learned techniques in their own production database environment. Time will be allocated on individual questions allowing the students to focus on problems or ideas they are currently experiencing.

These workshops are for existing HEAT customers who have attended the 5-day HEAT Administrator Class or who have been working with HEAT for an extended period of time. The student will gain the knowledge to maximize the efficiency of their help desk, and to take their current HEAT database to the next level of performance.

We encourage you to visit our web site at www.creekpointe.com to view info on our other offerings, and view some of the comments class participants have given about our training.

Advanced HEAT Admin is a concept-oriented class in a workshop-type setting that focuses on taking a current HEAT administrator to the next level. This class stresses the art of combining several HEAT features to achieve a more efficient, user-friendly HEAT database. Some of the topics covered in the class are:

Autotasks – Learn to build advanced autotasks. Functions and calculations are among the topics covered. Begin learning to master this typically highly-underutilized feature of Call Logging.

Command Buttons – Learn to use command buttons to run autotasks and reports from a button on your HEAT forms.

Validation Constraints – Cascading and Cross-Table validation constraints are explained. Validation constraints are an easy way to make your database more efficient, helping your HEAT users log calls more quickly.

Views – Views and viewsets can be used to make your HEAT system appear vastly different to various groups of users, and are explored in detail.

Lab Time – A half-day is allotted for students to bring their haf file to class and ask questions about their database.
